Palestine Summer Encounter offers opportunities for short term volunteers to work in the fields of peacemaking, human rights, nonviolence and activism.

Tasks for these types of opportunities might include:

+ Legal research and advocacy.

+ Observing and participating in Palestinian led nonviolence workshops.

+ Office work for a human rights or peacemaking NGO.

Note: We do not guarantee any specific volunteer placement. As a participant in the Palestine Summer Encounter program you will be placed at a volunteer assignment based on your skill sets, your work/volunteer/education background, your interests and the stated needs of the organizations that we serve. General Info.

Palestine Summer Encounter is a one to three month service learning and cultural immersion program in Bethlehem, Palestine. Participants study Arabic in and outside of the classroom setting, live with a Palestinian host family, volunteer with one of thirty-seven participating nonprofits and organizations and meet with both Israeli and Palestinian peacemakers.
